Man Dies After Hit By Moving Train in Zainapora Shopian

Srinagar, Jun 27: A man, presumably in his 50s, was killed after being hit by a moving train in Melhura area of Zainapora in south Kashmir’s Shopian district this afternoon, officials said.

They told GNS that one Abdul Hameed Sheikh, son of Mohammad Shaban Sheikh, resident of Charsoo Awantipora came under the moving train near Melhura Zainapora, resulting in his instant death. The body was later on shifted by railway police to Bijbehara hospital for medico-legal formalities.

A police official in the meantime also confirmed the incident to GNS. (GNS)
