Handwara: A baby died in mother’s womb at District Hospital Handwara on Monday, following which the family members alleged medical negligence and demanded investigation.
Firdous Ah, husband of the woman, while talking to correspondent said that his wife developed labour pain last morning and they subsequently take her to SDH Sogam where Doctors referred to D H Handwara.
He said that after few hours, a doctor visited and told them that the patient has to undergo USG as the baby is not showing any movement, however, later on they said the baby has died today afternoon.
“However, four days ago we had gone through the necessary tests where everything was fine,” he claimed.
The family members alleged that the baby died due negligence of doctors at DH Handwara and demanded the matter to be investigated.
Meanwhile, Medical Superintendent, Handwara Dr Nissar Ah wani that the Baby died in mother’s womb already. Now we have patient referred to LD Hospital Srinagar ,where her condition is stable.
