Sumbal, Jul 23: A scooty rider died after he was hit by a speedy truck at Shadipora area Sumbal in North kashmir’s Bandipora district, officials said here on Saturday.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that speedy truck hit a scooty, resulting in critically injuries to the rider.
He said that the injured was brought to CHC Sumbal for treatment, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as Towseef Ahmad Gooru (21) son of Abdul Khaliq Gooru of Naninara area of Sumbal.
Meanwhile, Police have registered a case in this regard and have taken up further investigation.
A police official said that the truck has been seized, while its driver was on the run and man hunt has been launched to nab him—(KNO)
