Foundation for installation of Ski drag lift at Sonmarg laid

Srinagar, 28 July: Managing Director Cable Car Corporation Mr. Gh. Jeelani Zargar laid the foundation for installation of Ski drag lift at Sonmarg CEO Sonmarg Development Authority and other officers were also present on the occasion.
The total cost of the project is 4.25 cr, including modern ski shop with latest imported ski equipment and other related facilities being built by JK cable Car Corporation. The length of the ski drag lift is 260 meters with a capacity 300 skies per hour. The project has been allotted to M/S: Adventure India pvt Ltd having its technology Partner POMAglaski of France who had installed famous Gulmarg Gondola at Gulmarg. The installation of Ski drag lift at Sonmarg shall be an added advantage to this destination which shall be beneficial for promotion of winter tourism in the area. After installation of ski lift ,this area shall become main hub for skiers which will not only boost the winter tourism but also provide the platform for the young talent of the area to advance in winter sports activities.
