Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh, 17th August 2022: In continuation with the celebration of 75th anniversary of Indian Independence or AzadiKaAmritMahotsav, the University of Ladakh, Kargil Campus in collaboration with the Central WAQF Council Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India inaugurated the first-ever free residential Civil Service/UPSC coaching for candidates short-listed through a proper counseling and screening process.
The porgamme was commenced with the hoisting of national flag by the chief guest Feroz Ahmed Khan, the Hon’ble Chief Executive Councilor/Chairman, LAHDC, Kargil along with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S.K Mehta and Madam, Kaneez Fatima, Rector, Kargil Campus.
At the outset, Dr. Mohd Taqi, Coordinator, Centre for Coaching and Career Planning,Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh briefly highlighted the key objectives of the Centre with the aspirants and audiences. Afterwards, Dr. Mohammad Rafi gracefully managed the whole programme with his poetic skills.
Prof. S.K Mehta,welcomed the Chief Guest Hon’ble Feroz Ahmed Khan, CEC/Chairman, LAHDC, Kargil with traditional Khatak. The other dignitaries present in the programme were also cordially welcomed with traditional Khataks.
Welcoming the guests, Madam Kaneez Fatima, Rector, Kargil Campus, UoL expressed her deep gratitude to Jinab, Feroz Ahmed Khan, Prof. S.K Mehta, Prof. V.K Jain, Shri, Md. Shaban Zeb Khan, Secretary, Central WAQF Council, Ministry of Minority Affairs, GOI, Jinab, ImteeazKacho, Joint Director, Information, Kargil, UT Ladakh and other dignitaries for their unflinching supports and also gracing the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Madam Kaneez Fatima said that under the leadership of Prof. S.K Mehta the University of Ladakh is scaling to its new heights. She mentioned that the Kargil Campus, takes immense pride in commencement of the free Civil Service Coaching to be conducted by the Centre for Coaching and Career Planning, Kargil Campus, UoL. She has also encouraged the short listed candidates for clearing the entrance and showing seriousness in the competitive pursuit at first place. She also acknowledged the University of Ladakh for providing financial assistance to (05) five additional students for this free UPSC coaching being conducted by CCCP Kargil Campus, UoL.
She appreciated the experts from EDUSPAIENS for their willingness to come all the way to Kargil to train the young and aspiring UPSC aspirants. At the end, she also expressed thanks to the Central WAQF Council, Ministry of Minority Affairs, GoI for translating the idea into action.
Following which, Ms. Tahzeeb Zhehra Jawaid shared many success stories of Civil Service aspirants and expects equal amounts of hard-work, dedication and perseverance from the aspiring candidates joining the free Civil Service Coaching at Kargil Campus, UoL. Further, she expressed gratefulness to the UoL for inviting the faculties and translating the plan into execution.
Prof. V.K Jain in his address focused on the importance of interactive learning and peer discussion. He congratulated the short-listed candidates for clearing the entrance and wished them a great success in life. He advised the aspirants to stay calm, composed, motivated and enjoy the process of learning without worrying much about the outcomes.
While speaking on the occasion Jinab, Agha Syed Hassan Armaan, Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil applauded Prof. S.K Mehta, Madam, Kaneez Fatima and the University of Ladakh for coming up with such an initiative, which is first of its kind in the history of Kargil. He said any possible help for the growth of the university, if required, would be provided by him. Concluding his address, he wished all the aspirants of the Civil Service a very good luck and success.
Addressing the audience and aspirants, ImteeazKacho, Joint Director, Information, Kargil said that this coaching programme will not only enhance their horizon, but also improves the cognitive skills, critical thinking and reasoning abilities among the students. Further, he expressed his best wishes to all the aspirants.
While joining the occasion virtually, Shri, Shaban Zeb Khan, Secretary, Central WAQF Council, said that today we are living in the era of information world and it is very important to understand ‘What Not to Read and Where Not to Waste’ their valuable time. He advised aspirants to make self assessment and reflect on the retention capabilities on regular basis.
Following which, Prof. S.K Mehta expressed hope that the Centre for Coaching and Career Planning,Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh would scale a new height in future. He said that the aspiring students would make optimum use of this rare opportunity and make the University proud some day. Besides, he showed his indebtedness to Hon’ble CEC/Chairman, LAHDC, Kargil for extending all possible assistance to the university every now and then. Further, Prof. Mehta also expressed thanks to Madam, Kaneez Fatima, for she has been instrumental in initiating several new ideas in the Kargil Campus, UoL.
While addressing the aspirants and audiences, JinabFeroz Ahmed Khan, Hon’ble CEC/Chairman, LAHDC, Kargil said that any possible support and assistance at any stage, if required for running the Centre for Coaching and Career Planning from LAHDC, Kargill would be provided with firm conviction. Appreciating the University of Ladakh and Central WAQF Council Ministry of Minority Affairs, GOI, he also acknowledged the efforts of Mr. Ashraf Ali, Member, Maulana Azad Educational Foundation for the opening of the Centre, at Kargil Campus.
Concluding the programme, Dr. Mehboob Ali delivered the vote of thanks to Jinab, Feroz Ahmed Khan, the Hon’ble CEC/Chairman, LAHDC, Kargil, Prof. S.K Mehta, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, University of Ladakh, Shri, Shaban Zeb Khan, Secretary, Central WAQF Council, Ministry of Minority Affairs, GOI, Shri.
