Independence day celebration: On the occasion of Independence Day, Indian Army collaborated with Aashraya hastha trust and Suriya Foundation to distribute Sewing machines, plumbing kits, carpet making machines to villagers of Macchal Sector. These people arrive live an extremely hard life of basic amenities. The Indian Army in coordination with Aashraya Hastha trust and Suriya Foundation the items were given to the villagers. The event witnessed congregation of local villagers comprising 90 men, 52 women and 48 children amongst which 100 sewing machines and other items distributed. This outreach program was first of its kind in the Machhal Bowl which was widely appreciated by the local vilagers and will be a harbinger for further such initiatives for the welfare of the villages along the border.
