Srinagar, Dec 15: Economic Offence Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir on Thursday produced chargesheet against two persons, accused of hatching a criminal conspiracy and extracting the money from innocent beneficiaries on pretext of providing them Fair Price License orders.

Crime Branch Kashmir spokesperson in a statement to GNS said that the chargesheet was produced in case FIR No. 31 of 2022 U/S 420, 467,468, 471, 120-B RPC of Police Station Crime Branch Kashmir Now Economic Offence Wing before the Court of Special Mobile Magistrate Budgam against Aijaz Ahmad Lone, son of Farooq Ahmad Lone, resident of Sumlar Bandipora and Jamsheed Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Rasool Dar, resident of Tilanpora Budgam.

The instant case, the spokesperson said, had been registered upon a written communication received from the Assistant Director Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS & CA) Budgam, wherein it was alleged that the fake and forged orders of license for establishment of Fair Price Shop at Jawalpora and Chayera-Gune Budgam are circulating and attributed to have been issued from the office of Assistant Director FCS & CA Budgam. Accordingly Preliminary Verification was conducted at Economic Offence Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir which culminated in the registration of the Case FIR No. 31 of 2022 of Police Station Crime Branch Kashmir Now Economic Offences Wing.

“During the course of investigation, it has established that accused persons namely Ajaz Ahmad Lone, son of Farooq Ahmad Lone, resident of Sumlar Bandipora and Jamsheed Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Rasool Dar, resident of Tilanpora Budgam in league with each other hatched a criminal conspiracy and extracted the amount from the innocent beneficiaries on the pretext of providing them Fair Price License orders and have managed fake Fair Price order copies in a deceitful manner and thus cheated the beneficiaries, the commission of offences Punishable U/S 420,467, 468, 471,120-B RPC has been established against accused persons mention above and accordingly Challan of the said case produced in the court of law for judicial determination”, the spokesperson said.
