KULGAM, MAY 20: Under the aegis of Nasha Mukht Bharat Ahbiyan, the Drug Control Organisation Kulgam today conducted an awareness program at Yaripora, here.
During the programme, chemists of the area were sensitized regarding safe dispensing practices, especially Scheduled drugs/ formulations liable to be misused.
It was reiterated that there will be zero tolerance against the erring practices and non installation of CCTV cameras and proper billing system.
A thorough deliberation was made through power point presentation to give insights on the role and responsibilities of pharma traders as mandated under law.
Earlier, during the day inspections were also conducted in the villages Matalhama, Bhan and Ashmuji areas, where the operation of two medical shops was disallowed for violating conditions of licenses.
