Kulgam, May 25: An elderly man was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Damhal Hanjippra area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man identified as Lal-Ud-Din Khan (70) son of Jamee Khan of Reasi was critically injured after being hit by an unknown vehicle near DK Marg, Kulgam.

He said that the injured was rushed to district hospital Kulgam for treatment where from he was shifted to SKIMS Soura.

“However, he died on way to the hospital”, the official said.

Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the incident—(KNO)
