The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train is being run under the “Dekho Apna Desh” initiative of the Government of India with the objective to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places to the people of India and the world, through Bharat Gaurav Trains (Theme-based Tourist Circuit trains).
Due to popular demand, Railways decided to operate another specially designed tour “Garvi Gujarat” through Bharat Gaurav AC Tourist Train to cover Vadodara- Champaner, Kevadia (Statue of Unity), Somnath, Dwarka, Ahmedabad, Siddhpur, Modhera and Patan which will be the major attraction in the tour itinerary.
The train departed on its 7 nights/8 days today from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station at 13:45 hours. Coupled with a modern state of the art AC rake, modern amenities, two dining restaurants, modern kitchen car, foot massager for tourists, mini library besides Security Guards, clean toilets, enhanced security features of CCTV Cameras etc., the tourist train has options to board the train from Gurgaon, Rewari, Ringas, Phulera and Ajmer stations in the tour.
