Rabi Season Enrolments ongoing for PMFBY across implementing States and UTs

New Delhi, 12/12/2023 – The Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) enrolments are ongoing for the Rabi season across all implementing States & Union Territories in India. Farmers are encouraged to participate in this comprehensive crop insurance scheme to safeguard their agricultural investment.

Key Dates for Enrollment Cut-off:

– A & N Islands: 15th January 2024

– Assam: 31st December 2023 (for Potato, Rape, Mustard) and 15th Feb 2024 (for Sugarcane and summer paddy)

– Chhattisgarh: 31st December 2023

– Goa: 15th December 2023

– Haryana: 31st December 2023

– Himachal Pradesh: 15th December 2023

– Jammu & Kashmir: 15th December 2023

– Karnataka: 31st December 2023

– Kerala: 31st December 2023

– Madhya Pradesh: 31st December 2023

– Maharashtra: 15th December 2023 (for wheat, gram, onion) and 31st March 2024 (for summer paddy and summer groundnut)

– Manipur: 31st December 2023

– Meghalaya: 31st January 2024

– Odisha: 15th December 2023

– Puducherry: 15th December 2023 (for Paddy II)

– Rajasthan: 31st December 2023

– Sikkim: 31st December 2023

– Tamil Nadu: Cut-off reached for paddy, Banana & Tapioca – 29th Feb 2024

– Tripura: 31st December 2023 (for vegetable crops) and 15th Jan 2024 (for watermelon and boro paddy)

– Uttar Pradesh: 31st December 2023

– Uttarakhand: 15th December 2023

Enrollment Process: Loanee Farmers are automatically enrolled under PMFBY through their KCC bank. Fornon-Loanee Farmers, visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or relevant agricultural department office& submit necessary documents, including land records and identification. CSC-VLEs will guide you through the enrollment process.

Farmers are advised to check their respective state notifications for the last date of enrollment and premium details and ensure accurate details are provided to avoid errors. This information is crucial for a seamless and successful enrollment process. PMFBY aims to provide comprehensive coverage and financial security to farmers, and your active participation is key to its success.
