Srinagar, Dec, 22: ISRT Jammu & Kashmir Radiographers & Technologists Team recently showcased their expertise at the 7th National Conference of the Indian Society of Radiographers and Technologists (NCISRT 2023) held on December 16th and 17th. Organised by AIIMS Bhopal’s Radiodiagnosis and Imaging Department under the auspices of the Indian Society of Radiographers and Technologists, this two-day conference witnessed a convergence of international and national experts in various domains of Radiation Sciences.
The event drew more than 600 delegates who enthusiastically shared their experiences and insights during the engaging sessions. Over 30 distinguished National Speakers among them two belonging to Kashmir J&K Mr Bilal Ahmad Dar from the Department of Radiodiagnosis & Imaging SKIMS spoke on Evidence Based Practice and identification of Research Priorities in Radiography. Miss Syed Nahida from the Department of Radiodiagnosis & Imaging GMC Anantnag spoke on Vesicovaginal Calculus rare combination of VVF and imaging Strategies.
Gracing the Occasion International speakers, including eminent personalities such as ISRRT President Dr Nepapong Pongnapong from Thailand, Global Director of ISRT Mr Edward Chan from Hong Kong, Mr. Dimitris Katsifarkis, CEO of ISRT, and Mr. Hashim Al Awadhi, President of Radiographers Society of Emirates, Dubai, captivated the audience with discussions on cutting-edge topics.
Delhi’s renowned Radiologist, Padmashree Dr Harsh Mahajan, honoured the conference as the guest of honour, shedding light on Artificial Intelligence’s role in radiology. Mumbai’s celebrated Radiologist, Dr Deepak Patkar, emphasized patient-centred radiology, highlighting the significance of patient-radiologist/radiographer interaction.
The presence of dignitaries such as Dr. Sunil Malik, President of AIIMS Bhopal, and Professor (Dr.) Ajay Singh, CEO and Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, added prestige to the conference. Dr. Sunil Malik lauded the successful execution of the event, while Professor Ajay Singh expressed gratitude to the national and international faculties for their enthusiastic participation. He underscored the crucial role of advanced technologies in clinical decision-making for enhanced patient management.
The ISRT J&K team, Mr Mohammed Mansoor Thokar, Mr Zahoor Ahmad Baba Mr Gayas Ud din Teli, Mr Bilal Ahmad Allaie, Mr Wajid Hamid, Mr Mudasir Hussain, Mr Zahid Hamid and Ms Insha Shabir shared their enriching experience, affirming that their engagement with global experts profoundly enriched their understanding of the latest advancements and best practices in Radiology, Radiography, Radiotherapy, and Nuclear Medicine. Their resolve to apply the gained insights towards offering high-quality patient-centred care services in Kashmir is a testament to the conference’s success in fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration within the Medical and Allied Health care fraternity.
