Srinagar, January 10: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said that he will leave J&K only after holdings elections.

Speaking here at Abhinav Theatre Jammu while attending the Abhinandan Samaroh organised by All Minority Employees Association of Kashmir, Sinha as per Kashmir News Service (KNS) said people here talk about him of contesting elections but he neither want to contest elections nor have anything to do with politics.

Sinha said that achieving peace is a process that cannot be purchased but requires deliberate efforts and govt is working towards achieving this goal.

He also said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they are determined to root out terrorism and to provide a safe and secure environment to the people.

“Terrorism is breathing its last breath and we will soon finish terror ecosystem from the soil of J&K. Peace and development has brought qualitative change in people’s lives and standard of living,” he added.

Sinha said that some people speak differently in Jammu than in Kashmir. However he has been identical in his statements in both regions of J&K.

Highlighting J&K’s diversity, LG said that J&K is a land of major religions and respect for all sects has enriched cultural heritage.

Concluding with support for youth, LG said that the administration will support the 5163 youth for self-employment registered with the Relief & Rehabilitation Department.(KNS)
