Srinagar, February 7: Suspected militants shot dead one person and injuring other in Karfali Mohalla ShalKadal area of Srinagar district on Wednesday evening.
A top police officer told GNS that this evening militants fired upon two person from close range. One of the injured succumbed on spot while another has been in shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
As per Intial reports one has been identified as Amritpal Singh of Amritsar and identity of another yet to be ascertained, both are said to be non-locals.(GNS)
