Srinagar, Feb 15 : School Education Department Thursday ordered its officials to reinvigorate administrative inspections as well as field visits of offices and institutions by the officers of the department on a regular basis with strict monitor-able outcomes.

Administrative Secretary, School Education Department Piyush Singla said that it has been felt that there was a need to reinvigorate administrative inspections as well as field visits of offices and institutions by the officers of the department on a regular basis with strict monitor-able outcomes.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Singla in a circular said that in order to monitor, streamline and improve the standards of teaching, academies, and administrative functioning of the institutions and offices, the officers of the School Education Department shall conduct field visits and tours in the educational institutes of different zones

The administrative secretary orders the concerned officials to submit its reports by or before the 5th of every month.

“Special, Additional Secretaries to the government, Director Finance, Director Planning and Deputy as well as Under Secretaries to the Government shall conduct visits in different educational zones of any district twice a week and shall submit a report to the administrative secretary of the department,” reads the circular.

Singla also directed the directors of School Education of Jammu and Kashmir regions to conduct visits in different educational zones of different districts twice a week and submit a report to the administrative department. “The directors shall submit a consolidated report along-with their recommendations to the administrative department.”

“All Chief Education Officers, Deputy Chief Education Officers and Zonal Education Officers, Cluster heads, Head of Institutions shall conduct visits to different schools in far flung areas of the District and shall submit a report to the respective directors,” it reads.

Singla said that in case of any departmental meeting during the scheduled visit, the tour shall not be cancelled unless conveyed by the Administrative Secretary. “Efforts can be made to attend the meeting online.”—(KNO)
