Tral, Mar, 20: A Police party Tral during naka checking at Batnoor Area Of Tral, intercepted a suspecious person for checking who was coming from Basmai towards naka Party.The Suspect disclosed his name as Mohd Younis Qureshi S/O Mohd Ismail Qureshi R/O Batnoor Tral.During the search a cotton bag containing 750 Grams of cannabis powder was recovered from his possession.He has been arrested and shifted to PS Tral where he remains in Custody.
Accordingly a Case FIR No:- 27/2024 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered in the matter PS Tral and investigation has been initiated
“We urge the common masses that if you witness drug peddling or any other crime anywhere near you, feel free to contact the nearest police establishment or dial 112. People are requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per law,” police said.
