Handwara, May, 01; Prof. Dr. Khurshid Ahmad Wani on Wednesday assumed charge as Principal Government Medical College Handwara.
On assumption of his charge Dr. Wani, who relieved Dr. Iffat Hassan Shah, was given a rousing reception by the officials and other staffers of the recently set up Medical College and District Hospital Handwara.
Following the formal welcome, Mr. Wani convened a meeting of the College and DH officials and staffers to assess the overall condition of the medical college.
The officials and staffers shared their suggestions on the overall improvement of the College, to which Dr. Wani reciprocated well and assured of an early redressal.
Later on the newly appointed Principal visited the College to personally assess the condition of the Medical College.
