Kulgam, May 08: One more terrorist has been killed in a gunfight at Redwani area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday, taking the toll to 3.
A top police officer told a Srinagar-based news agency, Kashmir Scroll, that one more terrorist has been eliminated today. However, the identity of the terrorist is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, searches are still underway in the area, the officer said.
On Tuesday, top terrorist commander Basit Dar was among two who were eliminated.
On Monday evening, following inputs about the presence of terrorists, a joint team of forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Redwani area.
As the joint team of forces zeroed in on the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired on the team, which was retaliated, triggering a gunfight. (KS)
