Srinagar, June, 19: In view of PM Naridera Modi’s visit on eve of International Yoga day celebration, security arrangements have been beefed up in kashmir valley.
Check points have been erected at Several entry and exit points leading to srinagar city and roads leading to the venue at SKICC also have been taken into security cover.
Meanwhile J&K police also established check point at Mirgund crossing on Baramulla Srinagar highway to carry out frisking and checking of vehicles.
Similarly reports reaching that at several areas across Kashmir, security forces have intensified the checking of vehicles and frisking to avoid any untoward incident.
The surprise checking was carried out by the SDPO Pattan, SHO Pattan and DO Mirgund PS on the direction of higher ups. Pertinent to mention that a massive search operation is on in Rafiabad area of sopore after a gunfight in which two militants were killed.
The naka party as narbal were seen stopping vehicles coming from Baramulla towards Srinagar and checking them thoroughly to make sure that there is no suspicious movement.
