Ganderbal,22 July: Janata Dal United (JD(U)) held a public grievances meeting at Chechpora Manigam in the Ganderbal district on Monday.
The event was presided over by State President GM Shaheen. Other key attendees included State General Secretary Vivek Bali, Dr. Ayoob Matoo, Political Advisor Riyaz Malik, Dr. Amjid Rizvi, State Youth President Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, District President Bandipora Abdul Majeed Gani, Ishtiyaq Ahmad, Secretary GN Pareay, District President Shopian Hayat Mohammad Ajaz, District President Pulwama Shabir Sagar, and District President Srinagar, along with several other leaders.
The grievance meeting, organized by JD(U) District President Ganderbal Abdul Majeed Ganie at his residence, saw the participation of hundreds of local people with great enthusiasm. GM Shaheen listened to their grievances and assured them that all genuine issues would be resolved on a priority basis.
“Our party’s main aim is to secure the release of all youth in Jammu and Kashmir and to restore statehood,” said GM Shaheen. Speaking to the media, he added, “Today, our District President in Ganderbal held a workers’ meeting, and we are committed to reaching every corner of the Kashmir Valley to connect with the people. While the parliamentary session is ongoing, we are doing our best for our people.”
Addressing the issue of elections, Shaheen stated, “Elections are not currently being held in the Kashmir Valley, but when the time comes and the elections approach, our party will be ready to participate.”
When questioned about the increasing terror attacks in Rajouri, he responded, “Our security forces are doing commendable work, and they will eliminate these threats soon.”
