Srinagsr, July, 27; The Governing Body of SSM College of Engineering convened its 21st meeting on July 27, 2024, to review the institution’s operations and various activities. The meeting was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) P.N. Razdan, Former Vice-Chancellor of Dr. D. Y. Patil University Pune and Principal Advisor Quality Assurance & Excellence Cell, GEF, alongside other distinguished members, including Mohd. Ashraf Fazli, Former Chief Engineer; Er. Aamir Ali, Superintending Engineer Rural Engineering Wing Kashmir; Prof. (Dr.) MRD Kundangar, Former Director LAWDA; Prof. (Dr.) M. Ashraf Shah, HOD Physics NIT Srinagar; Mrs. Roma Wani (KAS), Former Honorary General Secretary Indian Red Cross Society J&K; Dr. Qazi Shabir Ahmad, Chairman; Mrs. Dilafrose Qazi, Vice-Chairperson; Dr. Sajad Hussain Din, Principal/Member Secretary of the Governing Body; Prof. (Dr.) N.A. Shah, Registrar; Prof. (Dr.) N.A. Shah, Former Principal SSM College of Engineering; Mr. Adil Rashid Naqash, Former KAS Officer; and the HODs of the Institute.

The agenda was presented and discussed in detail, with decisions made accordingly. Prof. (Dr.) P.N. Razdan commended the College Management for introducing a Short-Term Certificate Course in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, providing valuable suggestions to enhance the course’s effectiveness in skill development for students.

In addition to the agenda, Prof. Razdan emphasized the importance of organizing value talks and motivational speeches by esteemed alumni to strengthen their connection with the college for the students’ overall benefit.

The Vice-Chairperson expressed gratitude to the Governing Body members for their valuable suggestions and assured them that follow-up actions would be taken accordingly.
