KULGAM, AUGUST 07: In a significant effort towards promoting cleanliness and proper sanitation across all the panchayats of the district, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Vikar Ahmad Giri today flagged-off ‘Swachhta Karwan’, a mobile Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Van from the DC office as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada campaign.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by the ACD, ACP and other senior officers.
The IEC Van, which is equipped with educational materials and staffed by trained personnel, is set to embark on a comprehensive journey through all panchayats of Kulgam district.
During the tour, the Swachhta Karwan will serve as a mobile information center, showcasing audio-visual presentations on the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. The campaign aims to address various aspects of personal and community hygiene, including proper waste management, and sanitation practices.
Later a plantation drive and awareness rally was also organised.
