Kulgam, August 28 : Cracking a whip on illegal mining & transportation of minerals, a police party led by IC PP Mirbazar along with a team of geology and mining department kulgam seized 2 vehicles (Dumpers) & arrested 2 drivers involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals at Manigam Crossing.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No 208/2024 under section 21 MMRD act, 326, 303 (2) BNS act stands registered at Police station Qazigund and investigation has been set into motion.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
