Body of missing tribal boy found in Tral orchards; investigation underway

Srinagar, Aug 29: The body of a missing tribal boy from Gujar Basti, Saimoh, Tral, was found in a nearby forest today, Officials said.

Official sources told NVI that they found the semi-decomposed body of the tribal boy from Gujar Basti, Saimoh, in an orchard in Sirnoo today.

They added that the police soon took the body into their custody, and the forensic team is currently en route to conduct a detailed examination.

He also mentioned that a missing person report was filed at PS Tral on August 25, 2024, and the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death are under investigation.

The boy was identified as Idrees Jan Bajad (09), son of Ali Jan Bajad, a resident of Gujjar Basti, Sirnoo, Tral. The police have begun the investigation.—(NVI)
