Jammu, September 14: Two Army troopers were killed while as two others were injured in a gunfight in Chattru area of Kishtwar district on Friday.

Official sources told GNS that during intial firefight four army personnel were injured, who were immediately shifted to hospital.

Among four army soldiers, two succumbed to their injuries while recieving the treatment. The other two army soldiers are stated to be stable so far.

The search operation in the area was underway till this report was being prepared.

Meanwhile, Indian Army
GOC White Knight Corp and all ranks salute the supreme sacrifice of the Bravehearts; offer deepest condolences to the families, army said in a post.

Earlier, a fierce gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Chattru area.(GNS)
