Kulgam, Oct, 27; In a poignant display of solidarity, Abid Hussain Khan, Executive Officer of the Waqaf Board, visited the victims of the recent devastating fire in Sarmarg DK Marg. During his visit, Khan expressed his heartfelt condolences and reiterated his commitment to supporting those affected by the disaster.
Engaging directly with local residents, Khan assessed the extensive damage caused by the fire and offered words of encouragement. He emphasized the importance of community resilience and pledged to mobilize resources for relief efforts, including financial aid and rehabilitation support.
Khan announced plans to meet with the Chief Secretary on Tuesday, will bringing two representatives from Sarmarg to advocate for the needs of the fire victims directly.
Additionally, Khan commented on the political climate in Jammu and Kashmir, noting that the National Conference has received a full mandate from the people. He cautioned that failure to fulfill the promises outlined in their manifesto could result in public unrest. Khan emphasized that the residents of J&K are awaiting the restoration of Article 370, Article 35A, and statehood, asserting that the people know how to hold their government accountable.
