Kulgam, October 28 : On the occasion of “Vigilance awareness week-2024” a pledge ceremony was organised in all police establishments of district Kulgam, where all officers and jawans took pledge for zero tolerance to corruption.
At District Police Headquarters Kulgam, DySP HQRS Kulgam Shri Gazanfer Syed read out the pledge to the officers and jawans and pledged that:-
“We shall promote ethical business practices and foster a culture of honesty and integrity”; “We shall not offer to accept bribes”; we commit to good corporate governance based on transparency, accountability and fairness”; “We shall adhere to relevant laws, rules and compliance mechanisms in the conduct of business”; “We shall adopt a code of ethics for all our employees”; “We shall sensitize our employees of laws, regulations etc relevant to their work for honest discharge of their duties”; “We shall provide grievance redressal and whistle blower mechanism for reporting grievances and fraudulent activities”; “We shall project the rights and interests of stakeholders and society at large”.
Moreover, SHOs/DOs of district Kulgam administered the Integrity Pledge to officers/jawans at their respective jurisdictional police stations and police posts.
It is pertinent to mention that the integrity pledge on vigilance awareness week is a commitment for highest standards of honesty and integrity in all situations and to support the fight against corruption.
