Kulgam, Oct, 28: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Devsar, Peerzada Feroze Ahmad Shah, distributed sanction letters for tractors and other agricultural machinery to local farmers today as part of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). The event took place in Devsar, Kulgam district, where he also inaugurated a new Millet restaurant aimed at promoting local cuisine.
The ceremony was attended by several officials, including Tehsildar Devsar Raqib Ahmad Ganie, District Agriculture Officer Malik Reyaz, SDO Subhash Chander, and Incharge Circle Officer Firdous Ahmad, along with other representatives from various departments.
During his address, MLA Devsar praised the Agriculture Department for its efforts and urged officials to organize awareness and training programs for farmers and educated youth. He emphasized the importance of maximizing participation in government-sponsored schemes to enhance agricultural productivity.
Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Agriculture Department for the support, highlighting how the provision of tractors and machinery will significantly improve their farming capabilities. The inauguration of the Millet restaurant is expected to promote healthy eating habits while supporting local farmers.
