Kulgam, Nov, 05: Saheeb ITI Chawalgam, in collaboration with Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Kashmir, successfully organized a one-day training session on pruning techniques for students. The event aimed to provide hands-on training in horticulture, focusing on the importance of pruning for the growth and productivity of fruit trees.
Experts from SKUAST Kashmir led the training, guiding students through the various methods of pruning and demonstrating the correct use of tools. The session covered essential pruning techniques for different types of plants, the timing and benefits of pruning, and how it contributes to better plant health and increased yields.
The training was well-received by the students, who appreciated the practical knowledge shared by the experts. One of the participants said, “This training has given us valuable insights into horticultural practices, which will be useful in our future careers in agriculture.”
This initiative is part of a continued effort by Saheeb ITI Chawalgam and SKUAST Kashmir to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical skills, equipping students with the knowledge necessary to excel in the agricultural sector.
