Kulgam: A black bear has been successfully trapped in a cage set up by the local wildlife team following reports of its roaming in the area. The cage was installed after wildlife authorities received information about the bear’s presence in the region, and it proved effective late last night.
Around 10 PM yesterday, the bear was found trapped inside the cage. Wildlife team Incharge for Kulgam, Imtiyaz Ahmad, confirmed the incident, stating, “The bear was trapped, and we immediately reached the location. We are now working to safely transport the bear back to its natural habitat.”
The authorities are ensuring the safe release of the bear, aiming to return it to an area far from human settlements to minimize any risks to both the animal and the local community.
