Kulgam, Nov, 14: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, a police party head by incharge PP Mirbazar established naka at village Nipora Sadoora intercepted one vehicle bearing registration no Jk14-4483 for checking.During search,officers were able to recover 2.8 k.g of poppy straw like contraband substance,02 Number plates and cash Rs 100160/- The two persons identified as Mohd Maroof S/O Hassin Din R/O Reasi and Jaswant Raj S/O Tej Ram R/O Reasi.
Accordingly a case under FIR No. 249/2024, U/S 8/15 of the NDPS Act has been registered in Police station Qazigund , and an investigation has been initiated.
Kulgam police reiterated their commitment to curbing the illegal drug trade in this district and ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
