Kulgam, Nov, 15: In a significant outreach initiative aimed at strengthening the bond between the police and the community, a Police Community Partnership Group meeting was held today at Police Station Devsar. The meeting was organized to address community concerns and to raise awareness on critical issues like drug menace, illegal mining, and crimes affecting the local population.
The interaction session was chaired by the esteemed Additional Superintendent of Police, Qazigund Zone, Shri Mumtaz Ali Bhatti. He was accompanied by SDPO Qazigund, Shri Rameez Raja, and SHO Devsar, Rishi Kumar. The dignitaries actively engaged with the public, highlighting the police department’s commitment to tackling social issues and maintaining law and order.
During the interaction, the public was sensitized about the growing dangers of drug abuse and the need for collective efforts to curb this menace. Information regarding illegal mining and its legal implications was also disseminated. The police officials urged community members to cooperate in reporting suspicious activities to ensure a safer environment for all.
Residents were given a platform to voice their grievances, which ranged from local security concerns to social issues affecting their daily lives.
