Kulgam, 19 November:Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kulgam, Naseer Ahmad, visited Kilam Devsar on Tuesday to review the progress of various ongoing developmental projects being implemented under government schemes like MGNREGA, PMAY, and the 14th Finance Commission (14th FC).

Accompanied by the Block Office team, including PO Devsar Tufail Ahmad, ACD Naseer Ahmad inspected key infrastructure projects in the region. These included road construction, sanitation efforts, and improvements to public utilities. The officials provided detailed updates on the status of each project, emphasizing their alignment with the government’s developmental goals for the area.

The locals of Kilam Devsar welcomed the visit, raising several key concerns and demands, particularly regarding improved road connectivity and better support for the agriculture sector. They also sought the initiation of new projects that would address the specific needs of the community, including the upgrading of local infrastructure and services.

In response, ACD Naseer Ahmad assured the residents that their concerns would be prioritized. He highlighted the administration’s commitment to ensuring that developmental projects are designed to meet the aspirations of the people and improve their quality of life.

“I assure you that your demands will be looked into and addressed on a priority basis,” ACD Naseer Ahmad stated. He also urged the concerned officials to expedite the ongoing projects, ensuring their timely completion while upholding transparency and accountability throughout the execution process.

The visit was seen as a proactive step by the district administration to bridge the gap between governance and grassroots development, ensuring that the needs of the local population are met effectively. The residents expressed hope that the administration’s renewed focus would bring about positive changes in the region.
