Kulgam, November 22, 2024: MLA Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, accompanied by DDC Chairperson Mohammad Afzal, today chaired a review meeting with officials from the Department of Food & Civil Supplies at Dak Banglow, Kulgam. The meeting focused on ensuring the smooth and effective distribution of essential supplies and enhancing services for the people of the region.
During the meeting, Tarigami emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between officials and the community to improve the welfare of the people. He specifically directed the department to identify individuals in the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category to ensure they receive their supplies in line with the established BPL norms.
The MLA also took the opportunity to inquire about the ongoing free ration distribution program and the functioning of food stores across the district. He urged the department to resolve any operational issues and ensure that resources are being distributed efficiently and fairly to all beneficiaries.
Present at the meeting were Deputy Director FCS&CA Kashmir, Assistant Director FCS&CA Kulgam, Chief Inspector FCS&CA Kulgam, as well as Tehsil Supply Officers (TSO) from Mirhama, Pahloo, Nillow, Qaimoh, Yaripora, and Redwani.
