Srinagar, Nov, 25: PDP,s Additional Spokesperson Shokia Qureshi has demanded adequate medical facilities for the people of far flung areas during winter. In a press statement issued here she said that the People from remote places face immense hardships in winter and lack of medical facilities at these far flung areas put the lives of people especially women at stake. The recent incident in which a lady delivered a baby at roadside in Machil Keran Sector, there is urgent need to ensure medical facilities especially during winter at these far flung areas. It is also important to keep ambulance facilities available round the clock so that patients can be brought to hospitals for treatment. DMO kupwara must take cognizance of the incident and make an enquiry why ambulance was not provided to the family despite repeated telephonic calls.
