Later, after concluding the meeting, Shaheen held a press conference in which he said the meeting was organized to plan up and gear up for the urban local bodies ULB and municipal elections.
He said , The party leadership is confident that their candidates are prepared for the upcoming elections across Jammu and Kashmir.
Commenting on the communal disturbances in UP Jamia masjid and Ajmer Shareef, he said that their are elements which are trying to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of country and brotherhood, for which our country is known for., but these incidents are keenly taken up by the concerned law enforcement agencies, to access the situation, soon those elements will be identified and brought to justice.
Regarding the proposal of national conference leadership for Celebrating, Sheikh mohd Abdullah’s day every year, Shaheen said that that it is illogical and without any proper lawful grounds so , I believe it will not be accepted by the government,
