Budgam, Dec 4: The Department of Tourism evacuated tea stall owners from various locations in Doodhpathri, directing them to operate from a single site near the toll post office.
The affected vendors claimed that they received no prior notice and are struggling to adapt to the new arrangement.
The tea stall owners, who rely on selling tea and snacks to support their families, expressed frustration over the abrupt removal of their stalls.
“We were not given any notice, and our livelihoods are at stake,” said one of the protesters.
However, CEO Doodhpathri, Reyaz Ahmad, justified the action, stating that the tea stalls were operating illegally. [KNT]
