Qazigund, December 8, 2024; In a significant initiative aimed at promoting road safety, the Dysp Mohd Aslam Choudhury and DTI Traffic Qazigund Kulgam organized a traffic awareness meeting today at Levdoora Qazigund. The event saw active participation from transporters, members of Somo and Tavera stands, numerous drivers, and the general public.
The meeting focused on educating attendees about the importance of adhering to traffic rules to reduce accidents and prevent the loss of lives on the roads. Special emphasis was placed on the crucial issue of minors driving motorcycles and cars, with a clear warning issued to both minors and their parents to refrain from this dangerous practice.
During the session, participants were encouraged to follow traffic regulations in their daily routines and were reminded of the risks associated with rash driving. Attendees were also urged to obey traffic rules to prevent accidents and protect the lives of the general public.
The role of passengers in ensuring safety was also highlighted, with participants assured of their full cooperation in creating an accident-free society. The efforts of the Traffic Police in organizing such awareness camps were widely appreciated by all present.
