December 12, 2024 – In a significant stride toward sustainable development and community empowerment, Khyber Cement unveiled several key community-centric projects under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at a special event held at the Khonmoh factory. The event, graced by Mr. Riaz Trumboo, Director of Operations, marked the inauguration of projects designed to boost local infrastructure and enhance the quality of life in the region.

The newly unveiled projects include the development of a park at the Government Higher Secondary School, Khonmoh, the construction of washrooms at the Sports Stadium, and the renovation of the Hanfia School. Further contributions encompass the construction of ladies’ washrooms near the shrine of Sheikh Ali Sirhandi (RA), a room near Masjid Shareef Sakinar, and a compound wall and washroom at the PHE Groundwater Lift Station. Additionally, Khyber Cement has facilitated the construction of the ground and first floor of the MTI School in Khonmoh, addressing critical infrastructural needs for the community.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Riaz Tramboo, Director of Operations, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to fostering progress in the region. He stated, “At Khyber Cement, our journey has always been about more than just producing cement. Our ethos of ‘Dil Se Banao’ reflects everything we do, whether it’s producing quality cement or building opportunities, trust, and progress. These projects embody our deep connection to the communities that have supported us over the years, and we take immense pride in driving sustainable growth and empowering youth to shape a brighter future.”

This initiative builds on Khyber Cement’s legacy of community-driven projects, such as organizing medical camps, tree plantation drives and releasing thought-provoking TVC campaigns like  ‘Dil Se Banao’ that emphasize the company’s core ethos of sustainability and social responsibility. These efforts highlight Khyber Cement’s vision of integrating corporate success with meaningful societal contributions, ensuring a lasting positive impact on the lives of people in Jammu & Kashmir.

As one of the leading brands in the Jammu & Kashmir region, Khyber Cement continues to uphold its reputation for producing superior-quality cement while actively contributing to the development and well-being of the communities it serves. Through initiatives like these, Khyber Cement continues to prove itself as a responsible leader by focusing on sustainable development and community growth.

The local residents poured their heartfelt appreciation for Khyber cement’s efforts and initiatives to address community needs, thus standing out as the most trusted and responsible corporate entity.
