Kulgam; A black bear trapped in a cage set up to capture wild animals was successfully rescued by a dedicated wildlife team in Jaibal Lammer. The operation was led by Kulgam’s Wildlife Incharge, Imtiyaz Ahmad, along with shooter Ovias Ahmad, who worked tirelessly to ensure the bear’s safe release back into its natural habitat.
The bear had been caught in the cage installed as part of efforts to manage the increasing presence of wild animals in the region. Local residents had raised concerns about the safety of both the wildlife and the community, prompting the timely intervention of the wildlife department.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the team, the bear was safely freed without harm and returned to the wild.
