Kupwara: An interaction session was held at Police Station Lalpora on Sunday to introduce the newly-appointed Station House Officer (SHO), Inspector Altaf Rashid, to the local community.
The event saw participation from a large gathering of police personnel, local residents, prominent citizens, and members of the traders’ community. The purpose was to facilitate discussions on key issues affecting the area and ensure the community’s concerns were addressed.
Inspector Altaf Rashid was warmly welcomed as he took charge of the station. Various topics, including civil administration, drug-related concerns, and the need for improved civic facilities, were brought up during the session. The SHO assured attendees that their issues would be given full consideration and addressed effectively.
He called for public cooperation in identifying anti-social elements to uphold law and order.
The event was attended by SI Mohd Sarwar, ASI Ali Mohammad, former Panches and Sarpanches, and representatives from local trader and transporter federations.
