Awantipora 03 January 2025: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Tral police arrested drug Peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
During naka checking in the area of Police Station Tral , police party of Police Station Tral apprehended drug Peddler. During search, officers were able to recover approximately 1000 grams of powdered Charras like substance from his possession. The arrested person has been identified as:
1) Aqib Qadir Sofi S/o Ghulam Qadir Sofi resident of Gang Tral
Accordingly, case FIR NO. 02/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tral and further investigation has been initiated.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
