Kulgam, January 8, 2025: In a bid to enhance security ahead of the 76th Republic Day celebrations, authorities in Kulgam district have initiated late-night frisking operations. These measures are part of the broader efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment during the upcoming national event.

Following directions from Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal-IPS, security forces have been deployed at key locations throughout the district, focusing particularly on high-risk areas. The late-night frisking operations aim to deter any potential threats by thoroughly screening individuals and vehicles during the night hours.

Under the supervision of Station House Officer (SHO) Kulgam, Subzar Ahmad, security personnel have been conducting regular patrols and establishing additional check-posts across the district. The increased presence of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, paramilitary forces, and intelligence agencies is designed to monitor and swiftly respond to any emerging security concerns.

Local authorities have reassured the public that these measures are being taken to maintain peace and ensure the smooth conduct of Republic Day celebrations. Citizens are encouraged to cooperate with security personnel and remain vigilant. The Kulgam district police also appealed to the community to report any suspicious activity promptly.

As the Republic Day approaches, the heightened security efforts reflect a determined commitment to ensuring the safety of the region and the successful celebration of the national occasion.
