Kulgam : Ahead of the 76th Republic Day celebrations, authorities in Kulgam district have intensified security measures with late-night frisking operations. In line with directives from Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal, security forces have been deployed at strategic locations, particularly in high-risk areas, to ensure a safe environment for the upcoming event.
Under the supervision of Station House Officer (SHO) Kulgam, Subzar Ahmad, security teams have been conducting night-time checks and setting up additional checkpoints. The presence of Jammu and Kashmir Police, paramilitary forces, and intelligence agencies has been ramped up to swiftly address any potential threats.
Local authorities have assured the public that these precautionary measures are vital for maintaining peace and ensuring a smooth Republic Day celebration. Residents are urged to cooperate with security forces and remain alert, while any suspicious activity should be reported to the authorities promptly.
