Budgam 15 Jan :The Program was Organised by Social Activist Muzamil Mehmood in collaboration with Mastermind Coaching Institute, with the support of Sub Divisional Administration Beerwah.
The rally started from the new bus stand and ended at the tehsil office, in which more than a hundred students and people from the Beerwah traders’ union and other government and private departments participated.
Speaking to the media, social and sports activist Muzamil Mahmood, organizer of the rally, said that the main purpose of organizing this rally is to make people aware about cyber fraud and fraud.
He further said that the world is a global village and due to the advent of high speed internet, people get benefits from it but at the same time we become easy targets for online hackers, fraudsters and fraudsters. Cyber crime is increasing day by day and common people are falling victim to it and losing huge amount of money.
My message to the general public is to be aware of cyber frauds and do not share your personal details with anyone and if you fall victim to such frauds, seek help from the cyber police.
Shahziya zehara a student who participated in rally, said, “We want to make people aware, especially those who get scared when they receive calls from these cybercriminals and fall into the trap to steal personal details of their bank account or other documents.” They share it, which leads to huge losses.
My message to people is to heed the instructions issued by the police from time to time and don’t share your personal information with anyone you don’t know, be it a government official or someone you don’t know,” Sahahziya said. Someone is showing authority and the police should take strict action against such cyber criminals.
On this occasion Chief Guest SDPO Magam participated in cyber awareness rally and SHO Berewah, SHO Magam, DOHardaPanzo, Tehsildar Beerwah, Deputy Tehsildar Beerwah, President Traders Union Beerwah, Transporter Heads, Youth Forums, Students and teachers of private coaching and general people of the area also participated.
