Kupwara, January 16, : At around 8:15 PM on 15th January a police team from Police Post Bazaar established a checkpoint at Geerhatchi, Kupwara. During routine checking, a suspicious individual was intercepted. Upon his personal search, approximately 11 grams of heroin-like substance and ₹5,170 in cash were recovered.
The accused, identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Parry S/O Ghulam Hassan Parry R/O Doniwari Lolab, has been arrested and taken into custody.
In this regard case FIR No. 13/2025 has been registered at Police Station Kupwara under relevant sections of NDPS Act, and further investigation is ongoing.
