Qazigund (Kulgam), Jan 20: In a bid to promote road safety, the Traffic Police Kulgam organized a road safety awareness programme in Qazigund town on Monday, marking the ongoing National Road Safety Month 2025.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from drivers, shopkeepers, students, and passengers. Among the attendees were key officials including Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Mohd Aslam, DTI Lalit Sharma, and other traffic department officers. Their presence emphasized the importance of collective efforts in improving road safety, and their active involvement inspired attendees to take responsibility in making roads safer for everyone.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Traffic Kulgam, Mohd Aslam, spoke to the media, highlighting that the primary objective of the initiative was to raise awareness about the critical importance of adhering to traffic rules and safety measures. He further assured that similar awareness campaigns would be regularly held to encourage safe road practices.
Aslam also stressed the responsibility of parents, urging them not to allow minors to operate bikes or scooters, and to ensure that traffic regulations are strictly followed to prevent accidents.
