Kulgam, Jan 24: A meat shop in the Gudder area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, was sealed by local authorities after a viral video showed a dog attempting to eat meat at the shop.
This disturbing incident has sparked concerns about food safety and hygiene in the district.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the meat shop was sealed after the video showing the dog eating meat went viral on social media.
The Revenue Department, led by Naib Tehsildar Pahloo, Akhter Nabi, swiftly took action, conducting a raid on the shop and sealing it.
Meanwhile, Naib Tehsildar Nabi confirmed to news agency JKNS that the shop was sealed after the video went viral and assured that legal action would be taken against the butcher.
Authorities have promised to take appropriate legal measures against the shop owner, which may include fines, penalties, or even criminal charges.
