Kulgam: District Hospital Kulgam has achieved a major healthcare milestone with the opening of its first-ever dedicated Orthopaedic Operation Theater. This new facility will enhance the hospital’s surgical capabilities and bring specialized orthopaedic care closer to the community.
As part of the modernization, the hospital has also introduced a state-of-the-art anesthesia workstation, the first of its kind in district hospitals across the Valley, along with a Digital X-ray system. These upgrades are expected to improve patient care and treatment effectiveness.
Medical Superintendent Dr. A.G. Raina commended the collaborative efforts behind the project, recognizing the support of key regional leaders and healthcare officials including Hon’ble Health & Medical Education Minister of J&K, Ms. Sakina Masood , Secretary to Govt. Health & Medical Education, Director Health Services Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam from District Capex, and Chief Medical Officer Kulgam,” . Looking ahead, the hospital plans to continue improving critical care services, further raising healthcare standards for the people of Kulgam.
