Kulgam, January 24: In preparation for the 26th January Republic Day celebrations, the Kulgam Police have heightened security measures to ensure the safety and security of the public. Under the directions of SSP Kulgam, rigorous vehicle and commuter checking is being carried out across various locations within the district. These precautionary measures aim to prevent any untoward incidents and maintain a peaceful environment during the celebrations.

As part of the district-wide security initiative, the Frisal Police Chowki, led by Sub-Inspector Ishfaq Ahmad, conducted intensive checking of vehicles and commuters within their jurisdiction. The security operations covered various entry and exit points as well as critical areas under the jurisdiction of the Frisal Police Chowki. The officers verified vehicle documents, inspected luggage, and engaged with commuters, urging them to cooperate with the authorities in maintaining law and order.

The Frisal Police Chowki team worked tirelessly to implement these directives, focusing on key checkpoints and high-traffic zones. Sub-Inspector Ishfaq Ahmad stated, “Our objective is to ensure the safety of the people and prevent any disruptive activity. We appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation during these checks.”

The Kulgam Police Department has assured the public that these measures are preventive and intended to create a secure environment for the Republic Day celebrations. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or helpline for immediate action.

The Kulgam Police extend their best wishes to all citizens for a safe and joyous Republic Day and reiterate their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the district.
